The last cover song of 2024 is SADE's classic hit, "Smooth Operator." SADE was born in 1959 in Ibadan, Nigeria, and moved to the UK at the age of four. After studying fashion design and working as a model, she began her music career in the early 1980s. "Smooth Operator" was released in the UK in 1984 and reached number one on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart. This success led to Sade winning the Best New Artist award at the 1986 Grammy Awards. In HSCC's cover, Bel Martinez's sultry vocals beautifully express the urban and cool world of the lyrics, while Jason McMahon's smooth saxophone solo faithfully recreates the original vibe while providing a fresh impression.
